Ripe Pu'er is a category of dark tea crafted from the large-leaf tea tree varieties native to Yunnan. Thanks to the pile fermentation techniques, this tea offers a full-bodied experience.
-
Sourced from an ancient, 500-year-old tea garden atop Wuliang Mountain, our 2020 Bolin Ripe Pu'er thrives at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 feet) in an almost untouched setting. Enveloped in year-round mist and enhanced by the neighboring forest, this once unattended garden had allowed its tea trees to grow wild for over 50 years. These tall ancient trees are the same variety as the esteemed 'King of Tea Trees' in Bingdao. This precious garden is harvested only in spring, leaving the trees to grow freely for the rest of the year.
It underwent large-pile fermentation, ensuring microbial diversity and fermentation efficiency. This guarantees the tea's enchanting flavor profile and its significant aging potential.
