  • Wuyi Rock Tea is the progenitor of Oolong teas and a rare gem in this category. Named for its unique growing environment in the weathered soil of Wuyi Mountains, this tea can be categorized based on origin: Zhengyan, Banyan, Zhoucha, and Waishan. Wuyi Rock Tea boasts a diversity of tea tree varieties, with the most prominent being Rougui, Shuixian, and Dahongpao.

  • The soil conditions of the Zhengyan region are exceptional, resulting in teas of unparalleled quality. In addition, each sub-region has its unique microclimate, conferring distinctive characteristics upon the teas it produces.

This Zhengyan Rougui is cultivated in the Shuiliandong Cave within the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area, and is the result of three years of dedicated craftsmanship. After initial processing using traditional methods, it undergoes three charcoal roasting sessions in the first spring, followed by another session in the autumn of the second year, and completed with a final roasting in the spring of the third year.

  • This Rougui perfectly embodies the genuine rock-imbued essence, known as “Yanyun”. Besides the classic intoxicating floral fragrance, there's a uniquely captivating aroma of honey peach, thanks to its crafting process. The brewed tea has a sweetness resembling that of mountain spring water, with a subtle fruity tartness adding complexity to the flavor. The mouthfeel is cooling, like a touch of mint, with a long-lasting, strongly moisturizing aftertaste. The lingering flavors enchant your senses, as if you are in the celestial terrains of the Wuyi Mountains.
